Surgical Care

We strengthen the Basic Community Hospital to facilitate access to safe and high quality surgeries. We support with infrastructure and provide the necessary surgical material to meet the needs of patients.
Our impact
Local and specialized surgical care reduces waiting times, avoids unnecessary transfers and prevents complications. This improves the patient experience, reduces costs for families and decongests tertiary hospitals.

Our work
In alliance with the Hospital Básico Comunitario de Ángel Albino Corzo and the Ministry of Health, we work to strengthen access to surgical services in rural areas where specialized care is limited. We integrate trained clinical staff and support with key resources to offer effective, humanized and evidence-based interventions.
Our approach seeks to attend locally, avoid unnecessary transfers and provide a prompt solution to urgent health needs, reducing complications and costs for families.
Activities carried out in the program
- Identification and prioritization of surgical cases in coordination with clinics and community units.
