Our work
Compañeros En Salud, in alliance with the Health Sector, strengthens rural clinics to guarantee continuous and evidence-based medical care. Physicians, nurses and health assistants work every day to reduce access barriers and provide respectful, effective and patient-centered care.
Our team receives ongoing training and is accompanied by the Community Clinic Supervision team, which provides mentoring, training and technical follow-up, ensuring quality and relevance in the services offered.
Activities carried out in the program
- Continuous monitoring of patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension to prevent complications.
- Priority care and close monitoring of pregnant women, especially in high-risk cases, and care of their newborns.
- Promotion of clinical and community leadership of nursing staff, encouraging full use of their capabilities.
- Effective coordination for referral and counter-referral between levels of care.
- Continuous supply of medicines, supplies and essential medical equipment at clinics.
- Linkage of patients with social programs and Health Sector services according to their needs.
